24th June 1917

At Halifax. No “Rounds”. Morning Service was held on the upper deck but the usual Sermon had to be left unspoken owing to rain falling. Rain has been coming down fast ever since and the day has been quite dull.

Leave has been given from 1 p.m. to 7 a.m. but I have not been. I wrote to Miss Berry this evening.
