8th June 1916

At Chatham. Fine day. Sent S. B. A. Woods on shore this afternoon. It is said that the 2nd leave has been evened up so as to make the same as the 1st leave. The 1st leave would have had a clear day’s gain if it had remained as it was arranged. A day’s extension has been granted for the refit hence the evening-up of the leave.

Wrote to Net. Cannot make out why I have not heard from you since last week.
